- Over the course of ten days, from March 10 through March 19, 2026, I walked the Camino Portugués central route from Porto in northern Portugal up to Santiago de Compostela in the northwest of Spain. The route was approximately 250km (150mi). Pictured here is my route. The daily breakdowns are as follows… Day 1: Porto to Vilarinho (27km/16mi). Day 2: Vilarinho to Barcelos (28km/17mi). Day 3: Barcelos to Ponte de Lima (34km/21mi). Day 4: Ponte de Lima to Rubiães (18km/11mi). Day 5: Rubiães in Portugal to Tui in Spain (19km/12mi). Day 6: Tui to Redondela (31km/19mi). Day 7: Redondela to Pontevedra (20km/12mi). Day 8: Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis (21km/13mi). Day 9: Caldas de Reis to Padrón (18km/11mi). Day 10: Padrón to Santiago de Compostela (25km/16mi)
